Arcis is a talented artist from Oslo, Norway which produces music with an authentic 80s feeling, there’s a lot of artists trying to emulate that authentic 80s sound but Arcis is definitely one of the best for successfully achieving it.
From the cold lands of Norway to the hottest summer days in Miami, Arcis’s music is intensively nostalgic and gives perfectly that Miami Vice feeling. This is the kind of music you want to listen while driving an offshore boat during the sunset.
The production behind Arcis’s music is really impressive, the choice of the instruments, the melodies, there’s a deep composition with serious skills. It’s hard to believe this was made nowadays, you can’t tell if the music is from the 80s or 2016.
Arcis released a fantastic EP in June named “Waves”, which is my favorite one from him, all the tracks are pure gems, one track from the EP got quite a lot of attention and popularity and became the “hit” from the release.
That track is “Speed Boat Theme” and the title fits perfectly with the feeling this track gives.
I also really love the track “Sunset Beach“. The EP got a stunning artwork made by Forces Creative.
Arcis really knows how to deliver quality content.
You can buy the Waves EP on Arcis’s Bandcamp page, and his other great releases that i didn’t mention.
Make sure to follow Arcis on SoundCloud and Facebook.
For the first time we are introducing a “Featured Artist” section on the website, it will features some new talents and our favorites artists of the moment.
We start today with a talented girl from Paris, “Violaine”.
I recently discovered her music on Soundcloud and I was pretty amazed by the production and the overall quality.
There’s a very deep nostalgic feeling trough her work, it reminds me of the Valerie Collective and the early Synthwave movement type of music.
It’s definitely an artist to keep an eye on !
Here’s my favorite track from Violaine :
“Men Like You”
So much nostalgia in those synths melodies, the bass is just amazing.
Judge by yourself.
Make sure to follow Violaine on SoundCloud and Facebook.
There is something new and exciting on the Aphasia’s Bandcamp page and it’s a compilation ! Artificial Afterlife is not the sequel of Futura Compilation which was our first compilation made by Aphasia’s artists back in 2012. Artificial Afterlife is a very special compilation because the concept behind the idea and the artists line-up was in charge of Starforce. So this is basically a compilation by Starforce featuring its favorite artists, who have been asked to compose exclusive tracks for the compilation.
Artificial Afterlife brings something fresh and very interesting to listen to, there is a great variety of atmospheres which define Starforce’s taste. The choice of the artists is nicely made. A mix of the biggest names in the scene along with some amazing underrated talents.
This compilation is definitely a great way to discover new music and artists, especially when it’s a Free Download release !
You can listen and download the Artificial Afterlife compilation right here.

Arcade High is funding an 80s action short film titled Rage. You can help fund the film by checking out the compilation featuring artists like Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, Protector 101, Tommy etc…
The story follows Kurt Niles, an every day guy living in the neon-lit Halogen City. After being left dead in the streets by a gang called The Dangers, Kurt returns from his asphalt grave and goes on a bloody rampage to save the girl he loves. Inspired by early 90s arcade beat-em ups and action films of the 1980s, Rage sets out to be a wild ride of blood, guts, and neon lights.
Rage (2013) from Illusion Films Pittsburgh on Vimeo.
The music of the compilation is inspired by the short film Rage, being created by a group of young filmmakers based in Pittsburgh, PA. Directed and co-written by Aphasia’s artist Arcade High. You can still contribute to fund Rage by purchasing the compilation via Telefuture Bandcamp page.
Thanks for your support.
One year ago we released the Futura Compilation, it was our first compilation.
It was such a good experience to work on this project, the compilation had 9 tracks from every Aphasia artists (of that time) including 5 exclusive tracks.
